Alpcross along Vienna - Nice August 2011 Here you will find my diary when I will be on the road! last preparations: The most important thing is the bike! I need a solid bike wich allows a confortable position. The first choice for this is not an extralight carbon frame. From all Canyon bikes the best one for this is the Roadlite. I have the oppurtunity to test the new Roadlite 2012 during my tour! I was very surprised when I opened the bikebox! The design of the new Roadlite is really beautiful!!! I tried to remark how the bike was in the box, but I´m not sure that I will arrive to put all back at the end. the bike as a racebike.... equipment: - Sram force with derailleur Apex and cassette with a 32 gear (I will be very happy to have it!) - crank: Sram SRM - wheels: Mavic Ksyrium SR - stem/handlebar: Ritchey - seat post: Iridium (it has to be a strong one to carry the luggage) - saddle: Selle Italia weight: 8,5 kg So, the start will be soon. The hardest stage will be the zero on. I have to go by train from Bad Säckingen to Berndorf next to Vienna with my bike. I will start at 5:30 am and  will arrive at 20:00pm, when I will arrive. Thanks to Topeak I have with Beamrack MTX with Sideframes and the biggest bagTrunkbag tour a perfect system for my luggage! You close the carrier  with a quick release you put ion the bag, ready! This is really very easy! It takes much more time to do one´s packing... I do my packings.... Here the final list of all things in my bag: - - - This was the last test with full bags. Well, the weight was 9kg! This is really too much! I didn ´t thought tha all this is so heavy!  So I really do optimize weight. For example, to put out the battery of my computer, just take 2 inner tubes instead of 4, ... I´m still working on this! Sorry, now I added the English comments!
